Free Lumpectomy Surgery 2025
Free lumpectomies were carried out on every patient who needed a breast lump removed after the 2025 annual cancer screening, which reached 585 women.
On 4 November 2025, after a series of tests and clinical investigations, free lumpectomies were carried out on all patients requiring breast lump removal out of the 585 women screened during our 2025 annual cancer screening and awareness exercise. Uplift Development Foundation commenced free lumpectomies in 2017.
Since 2012, Mrs. Olufunso Amosun has worked with the past presidents of the Medical Women's Association of Nigeria (MWAN), Ogun State Chapter: Dr Winifred Adenuga, Dr Bunmi Fatugase, Dr Stella Ogunmuyiwa, Mrs Bolanle Adefuye and Dr Bisi Dodeke. UPLIFT's cancer interventions would have been nowhere without them.
