The Idea
It began with a simple observation: talented young people and women in our community had no free, practical way to learn digital and AI skills. We started planning a hub built around access, not affordability.
The Yeye Moremi Oodua AI & Digital Training Hub is a free skill development initiative established to equip underserved youth, women, students, entrepreneurs, professionals and community members with the practical digital and AI knowledge required to thrive in a technology-driven world.
We are building more than a training centre. We are creating a launchpad for confidence, employability, enterprise and leadership across Ile-Ife and its surrounding communities. Our goal is simple: Learn - Earn - Lead.
To provide free, accessible and practical digital and Artificial Intelligence education that closes the digital skills gap for underserved youth, women, students, entrepreneurs and community members in Ile-Ife and its environs — equipping them to become confident digital users, innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders.
Local communities within Ile-Ife and its environs, with a specific focus on groups often excluded from quality digital learning opportunities.
"Every young person deserves the chance to belong to the digital future, not just watch it happen from a distance. When we started Yeye Moremi Oodua, we saw brilliant minds in Ile-Ife with no access to the tools the rest of the world takes for granted. This hub is our answer: free, practical, dignity-first training that turns curiosity into capability, and capability into income and leadership. This is only the beginning of what we intend to build together."
It began with a simple observation: talented young people and women in our community had no free, practical way to learn digital and AI skills. We started planning a hub built around access, not affordability.
We identified and secured a location within Ile-Ife, then began the work of preparing an empty space into a usable training environment.
Renovation, wiring, seating and setup work moved the hub from an empty room to a real learning space, step by step.
Today, the hub stands ready — equipped, tested and waiting to welcome its first set of learners into the AI and digital economy.
Participants learn to use modern AI tools productively and responsibly for research, writing, learning, business growth, social media and content creation.
Essential technology skills for daily life, education and work, including productivity tools, communication, research, collaboration and cyber awareness.
Foundational software development training that introduces learners to logic, web technologies, programming basics and automation.
Practical online growth skills for brand visibility, customer attraction, communication strategy and performance tracking.
Creative training for designing visual assets, presentation materials, social media graphics and AI-assisted digital content.
Our model is simple: 20% theory, 60% practical learning and 20% projects and assessment.
Participants who complete YMO programmes and meet the required assessment standards receive a Certificate of Completion.
Limited spaces are available for the inaugural training cohorts. This hub is a project of Yeye Moremi Oodua, advancing the legacy of Queen Moremi Ajasoro.
