Free AI & Digital Skills Training in Ile-Ife: Courses, Who Can Join and How to Register

The YMO AI & Digital Training Hub in Ile-Ife offers free, practical training for young people and community members who want skills for work, business and everyday life. Here is everything you need to know before you apply.

The five courses

Each course is designed to give you marketable skills you can use straight away:

• Artificial Intelligence & Generative AI: AI foundations, prompting, AI for productivity and using AI ethically for research, writing, business and content creation
• Digital Literacy: computer basics, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and staying safe online
• Coding & Programming: computational thinking, HTML & CSS, JavaScript, Python and APIs
• Digital Marketing & Social Media: content strategy, branding, Canva, email marketing and analytics
• Graphic Design & Content Creation: graphic design, brand identity, social media graphics, flyers and video basics

How the training works

You learn by doing. Every course follows the same model:

• 20% theory: concepts and foundations
• 60% practical: hands-on work and guided exercises
• 20% projects: applying what you have learned, with assessment

The hub serves Ile-Ife and its environs, with a special focus on people who are often left out of quality digital learning:

• Community members and disadvantaged individuals

What you get

Participants who complete a course and meet the assessment standard receive a YMO AI & Digital Skills certificate. Training comes with mentorship, help building a portfolio of your work, and support towards employment, freelancing or starting your own business.

How to register

Registration takes a few minutes online:

• Fill in the student registration form
• Choose one course and your preferred start date, time and days
• Upload a passport photograph
